WysGui 2.3

WysGui 2.3, released May 2, 2010, is the latest stable version of WysGui CMS. It's the completed vision for the WysGui 2 series. It comes with many new features that Web Developers and Small Businesses will simply love. The great thing about WysGui 2.3 is it's ability to back-up and install with speed, agility, and accuracy. You can have your web-site installed in minutes, with minimal FTP usage, and a simple, easy-to-follow installation. At any point, you can back-up your WysGui, and download it from it's secure location (includes/Backups/), and install it again just as if it were new.

2.3 VS Evolution

WysGui 2.3 doesn't come with many of the features WysGui Evolution has. The difference is depth. WysGui 2.3 is a great system for a simple, manageable web-site. WysGui Evolution is more for interactive, user-contribution based web-sites. With advanced user permissions, security, and flexibility, anyone and everyone can do anything and everything, so long as they're permission is granted. Improved page and parent capabilities in Evolution are the keys to it's added versatility. Add content, and you can place it on one, two, three- any selected page(s)/parent(s). WysGui 2.3 can place content/modules on either one page, or all pages. Evolution also comes with a set of new and improved modules that the WysGui 2 series simply cannot cover. With the new permissions system in Evolution, the Control Panel is manageable by Administrators (or whoever else is granted permission), and each rank can have their own, unique, Control Panel. Also, the File Manager has been completely redesigned. Selectable views such as Thumbnails, lists, Icons, and Dock-sets make browsing through your site's files a breeze. The greatest thing about all this, is that WysGui Evolution supports Cloud Computing.
